I finally made myself a blogful of video-poetry (and other stuff)
I have done this because I have a bad addiction that needs to be faced head on. It’s called Poetitus, a very serious condition with no known cure.

Poetitus sufferers find themselves compelled to write poetry about every aspect of the world, people, animals – everything is a trigger. They will sacrifice almost all their spare time desperately getting onto paper their incessant observations, phrases, rhymes and a million notions spinning around their heads. Poetitus sufferers are normally poor due to the scant chances of ever making any money at it, and the obsessional nature of the affliction preventing them putting their efforts into anything else.

I’ve accepted I am a hopeless addict and will have to live with it for the rest of my days, I have teamed it up with my other, less intense, addiction of messing about with video. Hey presto! The Video Poem blog. I guess a screen is better than a drawer in the back room.

If you’re also an addict, please feel free to send me your video poems (or written ones) for inclusion on this site here.

Together we will never rise above it.
Best just to read it, write and love it!

What? You died and went to heaven? How UP were you lifted? (Apropos: Pleasant Street’s tale of heavenly music through the radio.. and forgive me… couldn’t resist this 😀 even though it is so unseemly, ill-mannered and also pusillanimous since I wouldn’t answer her stern admonishment in reply to my flippant comment…. and yes, ahem, god be with you too… you cannot accuse me of keeping him… he is not here..)

Haha. Ashamed to admit I had to look up ‘pusillanimous’ – thank you, new word in my armory!

Welcome, oh afflicted one. And it’s no good going to psychotherapy – they just say there’s no rhyme or reason to it! 🙂
